Standing Plank Exercise for Core Strength


I've been speaking a lot about the importance of staying aware of your muscles and movements and explained in the last video a simple way to find and activate your core. So...now it's time to show you the simple move that is, not only a core strengthening exercise, but is also fundamental to keeping your body strong and your back stabilized as you move through your day.


The short video below demonstrates the Standing Plank and you'll get an idea of how the move should be incorporated during everyday tasks like doing dishes or brushing your teeth. In upcoming videos I'll be moving around the house to continue to show how to use your body and protect your low-back while doing everything from picking up a child or tying your shoes to reaching into your car or putting on makeup (i won't actually be putting on makeup).
